| self-destruction What is the moon, but a light that shows us the way And what of the stars that gather at night? Is it their beauty that drives us insane or is it the desire of being them, seeing what they can and we cannot. Hanging in the atmosphere for millions of years. Without disturbance without a care. And as we walk on the earth, we envy the grounds that lay beneath, wishing we were that strong that beautiful, so miraculous has our jealousy driven to insanity destroying the things we love, envy and want more than anything what has made us so blind that we cannot see that we are the cause of the destruction of our own world. That we are to blame And that there is no hiding from our mistakes We have no enemy. We are the enemy. |
